About the Family

The SNOUCK HURGRONJE family, Dutch nationals living in Brussels, were in Bordeaux on June 19, 1940 and presumably received visas from Aristides de Sousa Mendes on or around that date.

They crossed into Portugal and flew on the Yankee Clipper seaplane from Lisbon to New York in August 1940.
