About the Family
The PARNES couple, Polish citizens living in Antwerp, presumably received visas under the authority of Aristides de Sousa Mendes in June 1940.
They crossed into Portugal, arriving in Curia on June 26, 1940 and later moving to Porto in November of that year. In June 1941 they sailed from Lisbon to New York on the vessel Nyassa.
