About the Family

The MICHEL family received visas from Aristides de Sousa Mendes in Bordeaux on June 18, 1940.

They crossed into Portugal, minus the father Philippe MICHEL. The rest of the family traveled on the Excambion from Lisbon to New York in July 1940. Eventually the father rejoined the family in the United States.
