About the Individual

Alexander LEVY, a stateless refugee born in Russia, was living in Figueira da Foz, Portugal in the summer of 1940, presumably after having received a visa from Aristides de Sousa Mendes. He traveled on the ship Pero de Alenquer from Lisbon to New York in March of 1941.
