About the Individual

Egon HOSTOVSKY, an important Czech writer, was living in Lisbon in the summer of 1940, presumably after having obtained a visa from Aristides de Sousa Mendes.

He sailed on the Serpa Pinto from Lisbon to New York in December 1940.
