About the Individual

Isaac GRODZENSKY, a publisher in Paris, arrived in Porto, Portugal on June 26, 1940, presumably after receiving a visa from Aristides de Sousa Mendes. In October 1940 he was stripped of his French citizenship by the Vichy regime. He traveled from Lisbon to New York on the ship Nyassa in April 1941.
