About the Family
The DEMBINSKI family received their visas from Aristides de Sousa Mendes in Bordeaux on June 18, 1940.
They crossed into Portugal and traveled from Lisbon to Havana on the ship Guine in January 1942. From there they emigrated to the United States. Fajbus arrived in the U.S. via Florida in August 1942. Berek, Rojza and Frajda DEMBINSKI followed in February 1943.
