About the Family
Marta BERGMANOVA and Karel Eduardo JETEL, sister and brother, received their visas from Aristides de Sousa Mendes in Bordeaux on June 17, 1940.
They crossed into Portugal and traveled to Brazil on the vessel Santarem in August 1940. In January 1941 they then sailed from Rio de Janeiro to New York on the vessel Uruguay.
